He leads a great team of experienced tradesman and provides a good working environment where time lines are respected. All trades were flexible and solution driven. Drawings were read carefully and costs were made transparent. John has excellent communication and organizational skills and treated our project as though it was his own home. He stands behind his work. We highly recommend Dirsell Constructions and feel fortunate to have had them involved in our renovation. And all done through COVID!

Our experience with John and the team at Dirsell has been exceptional. We had done a small bathroom renovation 10 years ago with another company and given that experience we were dreading the larger renovation of a new kitchen, dining room, deck, backyard, pool and services for a future downstairs bathroom. However, the experience with Dirsell could not have been smoother, and was actually enjoyable!

From the outset John understood our vision and found solutions, guided us where needed, explained options, and always gave us the time and details to make informed decisions we were comfortable with. John’s communication style was great, with weekly site meetings and very responsive on phone and email.

The day-to-day of the build itself was much smoother and easier than expected and his crew are friendly, hard working and professional. John is pretty particular when it comes to subcontractors, and that along with his high attention to detail shows in an impressive end result.

We used John & his team from Dirsell Constructions as they came highly recommended for our deck extension at Carindale. With tight access, five-metre-deep mains sewer and storm water running through our block. This made for some really challenging obstacles & design barriers to overcome. However, John and his team thought “outside the square” to accommodate these hurdles. They also came in under budget and finished much quicker than expected with the whole job looking absolutely amazing. I would highly recommend John and Dirsell Constructions to anyone thinking of renovating or extending, I know I will definitely be using him on my next build.
